3. Social enterprises

Objective: The aim of this task is to analyse the characteristics and types of social enterprise so that the teaching team can convey these concepts to their students.

Description:

This activity consists of analysing the characteristics and types of social enterprise by reading the proposed document.

Students must complete the proposed exercise about the benefits of a social enterprise and then upload their Word document to the platform.

Students will then evaluate the proposed activity in a debate on the on-line forum (unmoderated).

1. Carry out a comprehensive reading of Chapter 3 ‘Innovative tendencies in the context of the social economy: the emergence of social enterprises’ which you will find in the attached European Commission publication ‘Social economy and social entrepreneurship.pdf’.
2. Download the proposed document ‘The benefits of social enterprise.docx’ and describe the benefits of a social enterprise.
3. Present the prepared document. To do that, upload it here.
4. Evaluate the activity through a discussion in the online forum (unmoderated).
