Case Study Method

Objective:

The objective of this activity is to learn about the Case Study Method in a theoretical and practical way.

Description:

This activity consists of looking into the Case Study Method and applying it to the process of analysing different entrepreneurial projects.

It involves extracting some of the important characteristics of these projects and filling in the data table.

Development/Methodology:

Follow the instructions below:

  1. Research the Case Study Method, using resource #1.
  2. Produce a short summary of the Case Study Method. Include the following items: definition, characteristics, objectives, usefulness. For this, refer to resource #1.
  3. Look at different entrepreneurial projects and, following the Case Study Method, identify and analyse the specific characteristics of each one, filling in the table of data attached to this activity.

Assessment of the activity:

The Case Study Method is used to differentiate the initiatives of various real-life entrepreneurial projects, identify their specific situations, activities, work plans and strategies, and so on.

Identification and analysis of the case studies as well as their particular characteristics and any observations made guide the use of this methodology.
