Development of a hypothetical service case
DESCRIPTION
The ARACNE CANVAS graphically depicts the importance of the process and all the features that are included within it to make it a comprehensive process.
As you can see, the training activities are at the centre of the model, but they’ve been designed to reflect participants’ reality and wishes. The stages on the left-hand side of the canvas detail students’ starting point, competencies, emotions and expectations.
These training activities are consecutive and aligned with the acquisition of greater competencies in the three basic core areas that the model interrelates: professional function, personal and group empowerment and the competencies for students to shape a positive professional scenario.
The consecutive training activities pursue a final purpose: to give students personal and professional autonomy in developing their careers, as shown in the pathway actions on the right-hand side of the canvas, defining the professional objective, adapting it during the process and finally verifying that the necessary competencies have been obtained.
The document in Prezi (https://prezi.com/view/VNJZuoIVagI21nZ3CqoA/) defines each of the stages in the integrated job placement pathway and their characteristics, as well as providing ideas for constructing pertinent activities with the students to progressively complete different stages. The symbols for each of the stages will help readers remember what stage they are in.
The ARACNE Model is not developed with a specific timeline, but instead is done according to the students’ needs.
To become familiar with the practical application of the model, we suggest that you outline a hypothetical case study for application.
DEVELOPMENT / METHODOLOGY:
Do the activity following these steps:
1. First carefully study the ARACNE CANVAS, fully understanding each of its sections by combining it with the presentation in PREZI.
2. Write down any questions you may have. You can put them in an email to your mentor and the course moderator can help you resolve them.
3. Second, outline the development of a hypothetical social service case using the ARACNE MODEL.
To do so, follow the steps in the model and use the template we provide for you: ‘Stages of the ARACNE Model for the social inclusion through job placement for groups in situations of social vulnerability’.
